The Canon iXUS 80IS (Caramel) carries on in the tradition of the legendary iXUS cameras which introduced us to feature-packed cameras wrapped up in a stunning user-friendly design. The iXUS 80IS features an impressive 8.0 Megapixel sensor backed up with a 3x Optical Sensor for fantastic pictures - be they close up or from a distance and with Canon's Motion and Face Detection Technology as standard, the Canon iXUS 80IS offers fantastic features and ease-of-use in a stunning aluminium design. Another legendary iXUS is born.

Features (Overview)

• 8.0 Megapixels: An 8.0 Megapixel sensor captures images in plenty of detail for creative trimming and large size prints.
• 3x optical Image Stabilizer lens: Advanced Ultra-High Refractive Index Aspherical (UA) lens technology from Canon fits a 3x optical zoom lens into the compact form of the Digital IXUS 80 IS. An optical Image Stabilizer (IS), helps you capture blur-free images in low-light and when shooting with the zoom.
• Motion Detection Technology: There's no need to worry about blur with Motion Detection Technology. This clever feature detects camera shake and subject movement, and then adjusts ISO to combat blur while maximising image quality.
• Face Detection Technology: Face Detection Technology ensures superb people shots by automatically setting optimum focus, exposure, flash and white balance. Face Select and Track lets you choose and track your primary subject, so you never lose a special face in the crowd.
• Red-Eye Correction: Set to automatically remove red-eye as you shoot or during playback mode, Red-Eye Correction quickly and easily removes red-eye in camera, making natural-looking eyes easy to achieve.
• DIGIC III and iSAPS: Canon's DIGIC III processor provides lightning quick responses, superb image quality and advanced noise reduction for sharper, clearer images. iSAPS technology uses shooting scene data to optimise camera settings even before a shot is taken.
• 2.5" PureColor LCD II: A high resolution 2.5" PureColor LCD II screen gives an exceptionally wide viewing angle, perfect for sharing your photos with a group, plus impressive colour contrast, keeping the screen visible under bright light. An optical viewfinder (OVF) gives you additional flexibility.
• Shooting Modes and My Colors: 18 shooting modes include Sunset, Beach and Fireworks Special Scene modes, which optimise camera settings for the easy capture of popular subjects. My Colors in-camera photo effects can be applied during or after shooting.
• Movie Options: Movie modes include Long Play (LP) for VGA (30fps) clips that use half the normal memory card space. Capture a gradual scene like a sunrise or blooming flowers, for accelerated playback with Time Lapse movie.
