This product is only compatible with the Apple Powerbook (G4) or iBook (G4). Whilst this product will power the aluminium PowerBooks it will not simultaneously charge the battery of models with a higher power requirement than the [approx] 48 watts output of this product, and in some cases, particularly on the 17 inch model, the battery may even be used to make up any shortfall.
