Why Firewire when USB2.0 is cheaper?

• Firewire enables you to daisy-chain drives together for easy addition of storage when you have limited connections on your Mac.
• Although USB2.0 is great it cannot compare to Firewire 400 and 800 in terms of pure transferring power. Firewire is able to handle larger 'packets' of information at a more continual transfer rate which is beneficial for transferring/accessing video information.
• If you have taken an image of your user account or another hard drive and copied it to the Formac drive you can utilise the FireWire capability of this drive to restore your account or drive contents. USB2.0 does not offer this option.
